I am Alex, a Marine wife and stay at home mom. I was born and raised on the coast of North Carolina, moved to Orlando, FL with my family at 18 and met my hubby there. After a year of dating he joined the Marine Corps and our adventure began. We were married in '07 and moved to Quantico, VA where he was stationed. We lived there for almost 4 years, adopted our first baby, Hershey, a sweet beagle/lab mix puppy, lived in two homes, went through our first deployment and made some amazing friends!

We then packed up again and headed back to my hometown of Wilmington, NC (at 5 months pregnant, BTW!). Lived there for a year and gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Bailey. Later that year we bought our first house in Jacksonville, NC (in 2011) and that is where we currently call home! I LOVE my house and wish I could pack it up and take it with us everywhere we go! We went through our second deployment here and I have made some of the best friends I have ever had that I can't honestly imagine leaving but in true military style, we are already expecting another move this year. Any day now we will have orders.

In my free time I love to do crafts, sew, tackle DIY projects of all kinds, bake, and I'm hoping to pursue my love for photography as soon as I learn more about my new camera! I hope you stick around to follow my journey through all of the moves, projects, and life in general!
