9 months!

The babies are 9 months!

In some ways it feels like these little munchies should be 5 by now but in other ways it feels like they were just born and I can't believe 9 months have gone by! Days are long but the weeks and months seem to fly. Our schedule is always changing. As of this week it looks something like this...

Wake up around 6:30-7am
7am- bottle. I'm trying to push this to 7:30 with hopes of 8:00 eventually
9am- Solids. Usually fruit with cereal mixed in
9:45/10am- Nap. This lasts anywhere from 1-2 hours
12:00- bottle. Still 8oz
1:00- Solid. Usually yogurt
1:45/2- Nap. 1-3 hours. It really varies.
4:00- Bottle
5 or 6ish or whenever we eat dinner they have a little of what we're eating or some more baby food.
7/7:15- bottle and bed.

We have 9 month well check's next week so I'll add weight and heights then!

::Peyton::
Weight: 19.1 lbs
Height: 27.7 inches
Clothes: 9 months and still a few 6-9 things
Diaper: 4
 Peyton is on the go big time! She has been crawling for a month or so now and doesn't stay still for long! She is pulling up on everything now too and loves to stand. She is a hard core Mama's girl just like big sis and screams when I leave the room or if she hears my voice and I'm not close enough to her. Most mornings I have her and Bailey in my lap while the other two play. She is saying Mama, Dada, Baba, etc but mostly just making the sounds although I think she is understanding who Mama is! She is still very entertained by Bailey and just laughs and laughs at her. She has the cutest little laugh/squeal when she's excited. She's the most vocal of the group for sure! Because she's more mobile than everyone else I have to watch.. she'll go take toys or bottles away and take off with them leaving a screaming sibling behind. They all do it but can't move away as fast as this girl. She has two little white dots on her top gums so I keep expecting to see teeth pop though soon!

 ::Brooke::
Weight: 18.9 lbs
Height: 27.4 inches
Clothes: 9 months and some 6-9
Diaper: 4
Brookie is seriously just the sweetest thing ever. She is always just so patient and relaxed. She is SO close to crawling but just not quite there yet. She tries so hard! She is doing an army crawl of sorts to get where she wants to go and then she gets up on her hands and knees and rocks then puts her feet and hands on the ground and sticks her butt in the air. Maybe she'll just skip traditional crawling and go straight to walking! She is just so content to stay in one spot to play I honestly think she just doesn't feel the need to go. She sits great but still isn't transitioning from laying to sitting. Loves being on her tummy still. Her hair is long enough to wear bows without headbands! They don't stay in for long but it's so fun!

::Andrew::
Weight: 19.1 lbs
Height: 27.5 inches
Clothes: 9 months and moving into 12
Diaper: 4
 Andrew is a silly little dude! He rolls super fast to get around and is starting to get on his hands and knees some also but hasn't made any forward movement yet. He isn't sitting very well yet. We will be having a consult to see if he needs physical therapy. He's starting to sit some though so he may just be taking his time! He, like his sisters finds Bailey super funny! He hasn't been big on sleeping through the night lately, he ends up in the pack n play in our room most nights so he doesn't wake the girls. He's still spitting up A LOT. He was switched to soy formula but it doesn't seem to make much difference so hoping to come up with a new plan at his well check next week. His heart surgery has been scheduled for August 5th. I'm ready to get it over with and be on the other side!

 Nine month photos didn't go as well as some months.. no one was all that interested!

Everyone is a big fan of baby yogurt and baby food fruits. We're working on veggies and meats now, they're doing better! The girls like to eat bites of our foods but so far Andrew isn't interested. The girls also like puffs and can self feed! All are using sippy cups! They drink water at meal times. Brooke is awesome with her cup! She picks it up, holds it and drinks! Peyton is the least interested but when we hold it for her she'll drink some. Andrew can do his by himself but usually ends up playing more than drinking but he drinks some too! We're using the munchkin brand weighted straw sippies.

We gated off our living room this month to keep Peyton in. It looks like a big play room now. We started using their big kid car seats sometime in the last month or so and love them! We're looking forward to them being able to face forward so we can put all three across the back row and make it easier to get everyone in and out! For now I have a system of moving one baby to Bailey's seat when she gets out and sits in the front while I get the other out and then no one is left in the parking lot alone! I prefer to go out with Patrick though to make life way easier for everyone!

In other news.. Bailey started Ballet class this week and loves it!! She wasn't shy at all like I expected. I was prepared to walk her in and have her be all clingy but nope, when they opened the door she just ran in with the other girls and didn't even say bye or look back! That gives me hope that preschool won't be as I expect either.

Zoom!

Where do my days go?! I seriously feel like they zoom by yet some days feel like forever long. All of my kiddos are growing so fast! I'm always exhausted.

Babies are approaching 9 months and I haven't done 7 or 8 month updates.

Peyton is crawling now as of this month and is all over the place! She started just a little here and there and then she would only crawl around the "play area" aka the living room but a couple days ago she discovered she could leave! Ahh! I rearranged the furniture, put up the baby gate we had in the garage to block off one entrance to the living room and we will be gating off the other opening this weekend! When Bailey started crawling I could just follow her around and the house was all baby proofed. This time around is completely different. Although Peyton's the only one crawling so far the others won't be far behind and Bailey leaves toys everywhere so I'm always worried about what she will find if I'm not right there. Today she found the dog food.

Miss P is also pulling up to her knees and occasionally to her feet. She still thinks big sis is the funniest thing ever!

Brookie is just so dang sweet I can't stand it! She is sitting really well now but hasn't figured out how to sit from laying or lay from sitting. She scoots on her belly when she really wants something and is getting up on her hands and knees some. She is so great with her sippy cup and today she picked up a piece of egg and put it in her mouth.

Mister Andrew is my difficult child at the moment. As sweet as he can be I almost feel like he chooses to be a pill. He loves to jump in the jump-e-roo and would probably stay in there most of the day if he could. It seems to be his happy place. He isn't sitting yet and I think he gets frustrated. He rolls well and super fast but gets mad when he can't get places or things he wants. He is still spitting up really bad and just rolls around the living room and spits everywhere. We clean the carpets a lot now. He is not liking food yet but is finally eating baby food and loves yogurt! We're having a terrible time with him and sleep lately. He screams and screams for what seems to be no reason. We cannot figure it out. He's fine when we pick him up. He does this at night and naps. He, Patrick and I are not sleeping much.

7 month photos..

And Bailey boo :-)

Bailey is POTTY TRAINED!!!! I never thought it would happen. This kid is so stubborn and had no interest and would just pee wherever if I would try panties with her and refuse to go in the potty but it finally happened! I'm sure we'll have another accident or two but I am so proud to say it has been a couple weeks now and she's going on her own without assistance (most of the time!) Wooo hooo!!

My little Things!

Babies 8 months...

Oh how I loved today!

Warm weather, nothing on the agenda and my great friends {who just happen to be my neighbors} to hang out with! Perfect. The babies were quite fussy today but it didn't seem to stress me out as much as it usually does. I think warm, sunny days make me SO MUCH HAPPIER no matter what's going on!

First thing this morning I realized we would run out of formula tonight and with Patrick being on duty I knew I wouldn't get out before morning so Kayla came over early to hang with my kiddos so I could make a food lion run. Even if it's for just 30 mins it's so amazing to get out of the house by myself in the daylight! Now a days when I get out alone it's always after the kids are in bed. I love the sunshine!!

A little later, Bailey, Peyton, Brooke and I hung out in the back yard while Andrew napped. Bailey jumped on the trampoline and played with her water table. I sat in the sun a little enjoying some vitamin C!

 The baby girls sat in the shade squinting in the bright sun!

Later, all of our friends came over and the kids jumped some more then we moved to the front yard and back to the back yard again later.

This evening I just sat on the floor for a good hour of more with the kids. It was nice, I don't usually get to do that. Peyton was enjoying standing in my lap so I pulled out the activity table and stood her up at it and she put her hands on it holding her weight so I let go and she just stood there!

Such a big girl! Just two days shy of 7 months! I later tried with Andrew and Brooke and neither were ready yet. They both liked playing with the table but didn't stand on their own.

Miss Brooke did finally decide to sit by herself yesterday though! She's the last one and I guess decided it was time.

Cute stuff!

One more update of sorts.. Bailey has been wearing big girl panties off and on and peeing on the potty some. She sometimes realizes she has to go before she goes but not all of the time. I am hoping it clicks for her soon! I am so over her being in pull ups!

Bailey's Princess Birthday!

My baby girl is almost 3!! Where the heck did the time go? Her birthday is this coming weekend but we had her party yesterday. She chose Sofia the First for the party theme this year and it turned out beautiful!

We had a crown decorating table for the girls and cape decorating for the boys

Pretty Princesses!

I never could get all the boys in once place with capes so no group shot but they turned out great too!

Bailey kept coming up to me and whispering "can I open my presents now?"
This was the first year she's done that and I'm sure the first of many!

She had fun opening and lots of help! So many new fun things to play with!

The original plan was to have most of the party outside but it was raining so plans changed which meant pinata inside! It was so much fun but 4 vacuum sessions later I still have little chunks of lollipops in my carpet! Lesson learned. NO lollipops in future pinatas!! Inside or out!

 Bailey pulled her shy card and needed me to help her. We let all the kids have at least one turn and some two or three then finally Mason busted it open and the candy (and chunks of lollipops!) flew!

Sarah had my camera and caught that awesome shot of the flying candy!

Fun Fun Fun!!

Such a pretty little Sofia princess!

We had a blast!

Life update and Triplets at 6 months

So yesterday I looked back through my old blog and read Bailey's monthly updates and it was so fun! I love that I was keeping up better, it's really fun to look back at and see what she was doing when and my thoughts on things. It took me back and I remember every moment like it was yesterday! The reason I went back through was to find her 6 month update and see how much she weighed to compare the triplets 6 month weights and she was smaller!! I thought for sure she was always bigger than them at every age but she was a whole pound smaller than the girls now and two pounds smaller than Andrew! Mind blown. lol. She was also still breastfeeding every 3 hours and waking every 3 hours at night. I am so thankful that the triplets sleep through the night for the most part and are on a 4 hour feeding schedule!

Life right now has been so busy! Days just fly by. I'm starting to feel a little more "normal" again lately but I've just been so stressed. Having 4 little munchkins is a lot of work! I go non stop. This past week has been warmer so we started using our quad stroller and getting out for walks and outside to play which has been amazing! The babies do well in the stroller for short periods then I have to keep it moving! As soon as it's warm all the time I will be setting up a pack n play in the garage and some other things to be able to move them around some until they are sitting better and can be on a blanket on the ground.

Patrick ordered their new car seats this week! I'm pretty excited!! Just need to get the stroller now and we'll be set! We're getting ready to get high chairs as well. It's crazy how fast they're growing and what they're ready for now!

Bailey will be 3 in 3 weeks!! How did that happen?? She's so grown up in so many ways. She is super tall! Most people think she's at least 4 just by her height alone but then once they get her to come out of her shell and talk they are even more impressed. She is so smart. Her newest thing lately though is to talk in a baby voice which I'm not liking. Her life has changed dramatically bringing three babies home so we're trying to give her some slack but it's hard when we know how smart and mature she can be. We've been in the "terrible two's" for a while now going into the three phase which most Mom's swear is worse. She's in the "mine" phase where shes not as good at sharing as she once was but some days shes great it just depends! I'm looking forward to warmer weather and playing outside with friends more, I think it will be good for her! She's starting preschool in the fall! Ahh! I'm excited though, I think she will love it! It's only 3 hours two days a week so not too bad.

The triplets are also growing fast! They are all such good babies and so fun. I feel guilty often that I cannot spend as much one on one time with them as I did with Bailey but I do the best I can. We switched formulas today from neosure 22 cal to Gerber soothe. Everyone has had one bottle of it so far and did well. I'm hoping it will make a big difference with their tummies. They all spit up a lot still, have gas and just seem to be uncomfortable so I'm excited about the switch and hope it helps! They're all taking 7 ounce bottles during the day at 8am, 11:30/12 & 4pm and 8 ounces at 7/7:30 before bed. We went with the time change and changed our schedule. I like the later mornings but don't like the later bedtime. We've added solids just over the last week in a half. The girls are doing great and will eat almost a whole container each but Andrew really isn't getting the hang of the spoon yet. They've tried squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and bananas so far. We're eating solids once a day in the afternoon but I switch between times depending on what we're doing and trying to find what works best. Right now either between 2nd and 3rd bottle or 3rd and 4th bottle. They all still nap about three times a day. Everyone only takes one long nap usually and two shorter power naps. Before warmer weather they napped more but now I'm having them outside more so they've only had two naps the past couple days.

::Peyton::
Weight: 15.6
Height: 25 inches
Clothes: 6 month and some 6-9
Diaper: size 3

Miss Peyton is a roller! She is ALL over the place now! She does 3-4 rolls at a time and is half way across the room fast! She is still the demanding one and likes to be held a lot. We had concerns about her feet and legs, she tends to turn her feet in a lot and wasn't putting as much pressure on her legs as the other two but her pedi said she is just fine! We are going to take her to see an optometrist though. She still turns her left eye in a little too much for her age. Dr. Snyder doesn't seem too concerned but we'd like to make sure! Peyton is still my early riser, she's up between 5-6 every morning but as long as she's just talking and not screaming I leave her alone! She is sitting by herself as of yesterday! She is wobbly and falls forward after a couple minutes but it's a start!

::Brooke::
Weight: 15.2
Height: 25 inches
Clothes: 6 months and some 6-9
Diaper: 3

Miss Brookie is a tummy girl! She is rolling like sissy but stops and hangs out on her tummy for a long time! She is sleeping on her tummy now too. She's the best sleeper at the moment. Still takes the longest to fall asleep, we go in and give her a paci a few times but once she falls asleep she's usually out. The last two mornings though she's been up just after 6 with Peyton. She's a good napper! Today she took a 2 1/2 hour nap in her crib!! That was a first. She is such a smiley, happy girl. She is not sitting yet but I think it's because she arches her back so much she just doesn't want to relax enough to sit. She as the other two are teething big time but Brooke is the main one teething on toys instead of just her hands and clothes!

::Andrew::
Weight: 16.8
Height: 25 inches
Clothes: 6 and 9 months
Diaper: 3

Mr. Andrew pants is a tummy sleeper like Brookie. He's rolling too but usually on the floor he'll either stay on his back or roll to his tummy and stay that way. He's not all about rolling all around the living room like the girls! When he's in a good mood he'll stay on the floor for a long time and just play with his hands! He is pretty demanding when he wants to be. If he's not happy he will let you know! The flat spot on his head is improving but still there and may or may not go away completely. He's had really red cheeks this past week and I was worried he was having some kind of reaction to a food he tried but turns out it's just dry skin so the pedi prescribed a thick cream and the first night we used it made a huge difference! Little man has such long hair around his face and ears! Brynn is coming this weekend to do my hair and I'm going to have her trim his a little already!

Everyone is rotating between playmats, jump-e-roo's, bouncer chairs, bumbos, and floor time. No one likes any one thing more than others. Bailey was such a bouncer, bumbo, jump-e-roo baby but these guys aren't. I'm hoping they'll start enjoying everything a little more over the next month! I don't know what else to do with them at this age. With three of them they need to enjoy things other than me entertaining them all day long! They have all loved their swings SO much but they're starting to not like them as much now. They still nap well in them but just don't want to be in them as much as they did. I can't hold all three together all day!! Hoping they'll be sitting soon, I think they'll have more fun then!

Triplets at 5 months!

Ahh these kids are growing too fast!! I've been looking at them lately thinking whoa when did you become babies, you were newborns yesterday!

They are at that stage where they're ready to do more but not big enough yet so I'm trying to keep them entertained the best I can. We pulled out the excersaucer and jump-a roo this week and they all like them but for short periods. They like their play mats and sitting in the bumbos for short periods. Brooke and Andrew like to sit in bouncers and watch "Bailey's shows" some also. Peyton will too but she is not as content for as long as they are.

We hit a rough patch after RSV with sleep. Andrew was up multiple times a night every night and started screaming in the early morning and would not go back to sleep. Peyton was getting up around 5am. Brookie was the only one sleeping through until 7:00. The past three nights they've all slept through until 5:30-6, even 6:30 one morning! Amazing! Hope it keeps up!!

How a day in the life at the Freitas house with 5 month old triplets looks....

Wake up sometime after 5am (the goal is always 7!), bottles, then depending on just how early sometime play time and sometimes straight to swings for a nap. If it's early and they nap right away I nap too until Bailey gets up. Their naps are getting shorter so there is always play mat, floor, and now jump-a-roo time before the next bottle. Then, bottle, play time, nap, repeat. Bedtime is 7 for babies and 8 for Bailey. Our bedtime routine has gotten so much better and I hope hope we can keep it up through our 2+ weeks in FL that is coming up next week! We do bottles around 6:30, put on pj's and sleep sacks then I lay babies down one by one awake with no paci and walk out. When someone fusses I go and give paci's. Andrew is on his second night of no paci! Peyton usually only fusses once then she's out. Brooke on the other hand, she takes a while to fall asleep but she just fusses, doesn't cry so we put the paci back in a few times and then she's asleep.

::Peyton::
weight: not sure. There is no well check at 5 mos. boo.
Height: ^^
Clothes: some 3 months and moving into 6 months now!
Diaper: still 2
 This sweet blondie is definitely my morning girl! Although, not always the first up she is always the happiest and gives the biggest smiles when I go to get her! I love it! She is the first (and only so far) to roll over. She rolled back to tummy first and now is rolling tummy to back sometimes too! She loves holding her feet every time she's on the floor. She sucks her bottles down like nothing when she's hungry but is the worst about spitting up. She is wearing bibs a lot now. She is our big talker! She loves to talk all the time and likes to talk loud!! She is super smiley and very curious. Sweet sweet baby girl <3

::Brooke::
Weight: not sure.
Height: not sure.
Clothes: moving into 6 months!
Diaper: 2
Miss Brooke has become the mellow child. Who knew? She is content so much of the time now and so happy! She does not like to be hungry but who does really. This sweet girl is just so smiley all of the time! She's close to rolling over but hasn't quite made it over yet. Any day now. She likes to sit in the bouncer and watch tv with Bailey. I still think she'll be our Daddy's girl, she more than the others just lights up with he holds her and talks to her. :)

::Andrew::
Weight: 14 lbs, 3 oz.
Height: not sure.
Clothes: mostly 6 months but still in a few 3 month things
Diaper: 2
He has to get the RSV vaccine every month that is how I know his weight.
This boy has been giving me a run for my money this month with the lack of sleep but lets hope that's in the past! Little man is super smiley like his sisters but when he is mad buddy he wants the whole neighborhood to know about it! He is LOUD and gives no warning! He has started talking a lot too like Peyton and sometimes I swear they're talking to each other! So cute! He so far has no interest in rolling but has become fascinated with his hands and blankets. He really enjoys the play mat and also likes watching "Bailey's shows" his fave is Mickey Mouse! His hair is getting so long I'm considering letting Brynn trim around his ears when she comes next!

All of them are still eating every 4 hours usually 7,11,3, & 7 although it's been more like 6, 10ish, 2-3, and 6:30 lately which I didn't like but I'm getting used to. They're taking 6 1/2 oz in the morning, 6 for the second and third feeding and 7 at bedtime.

I think that's about it for now!

Triplets 4 months update

As always, I suck at blogging on a regular basis and missed the babies 3 month update but here is their 4 month!

These sweet babies are getting to be so much fun! They are doing new things everyday and it's so fun to watch!

They had quite an eventful first Christmas, all three plus Bailey ended up in the ER at 8pm with stuffy noses, congestion, nasty coughs, and a little weezing. Peyton and Andrew tested positive for RSV and the Dr. said chances were good Brooke had it as well. Peyton was given a breathing treatment and steroid shot and I wish they had done that for the other two! Bailey was just fine with a cold but when I called the nurses line earlier in the evening they said take Bailey too so we did. It was a long road the next couple weeks. It was so sad seeing all of them feel so bad and worse yet having trouble breathing well enough to keep the paci in their mouth long enough to get good and asleep. We were all exhausted! Patrick and I both had the colds also and didn't feel all that hot and all of my family came in for Christmas which was a lifesaver at ER and during the following week helping with all the sickies but then they all got sick too :(

::Peyton::
Weight: 11.9
 height: 22.8
Clothes: 3 month
diaper: 2

This blondie has gotten quite the attitude lately. I blame all of our schedule and personality changes on the RSV, company for so long and just general chaos of the holiday's however, it could just be their age and a phase but for Miss Peyton, being the laid back one of the group for the longest, she now is not. hah. She must be held or she will scream! We do not hold her all the time because we simply can't but we have to listen to what she thinks about floor time, swing time and just general awake time without being held! Little turd! She is so adorable though and has the biggest smile! She loves to "talk" and so if shes not fussing or screaming at us she is talking! She is definitely the vocal one of the group at this phase in life. Her first laugh was sitting on her Vovo's (Patrick's Dad) tummy while he was bouncing and making a horsey noise. We caught it on video! So cute! She is also rolling over from her back to tummy now! The first one to do that :-)

::Brooke::
Weight: 11.4
height:23.5
Clothes: 3 month
diaper: 2

This cutie has been the sweetest thing lately! She is usually the attitude queen of the group but she has switched roles with Peyton apparently and is so laid back. She has the biggest smile and gets so happy when you talk to her or even look at her! She is the best little tummy timer! She loves to watch tv. She will sit in her bouncer and just watch. She also loves her sissy, she is always reaching for Peyton's hands when they're on the floor which is just so adorable! Brookie may be my blankie lover. All the babies got aden & Anias blankets for Christmas from their Aunt Nikki and all love them but Brooke just relaxes so much when you put her blankie on her :-)

::Andrew::
Weight: 12.23
height: 24.02
Clothes: some 3 months but moving into 6! 6 month sleepers.
diaper: 2

This handsome guy is such a sweet boy. He has a huge smile and sweet eyes. He has gotten a little crankier lately after the holiday's and sickness so may be a schedule issue but floor time is not his thing anymore. He's ok for short periods then he wants to be held! Since Christmas, he has only slept through the night once, ONCE! We have moved him into his pack n play and into a sleep sac but he still ends up in our bed in the wee hours of the morning once I am exhausted from getting up and putting his paci in his mouth over and over again! We're working on it. Hopefully it's a phase. He laughed at Mommy for his first laugh last month! He was sitting on my lap and I was tickling and making funny laughing sounds and he thought it was pretty funny! First one to laugh!

I hate that I missed their 3 month update so here are the pics at least!

Silly triplets!

All of them are taking 5 1/2 ounces every 4 hours during the day and sleeping through the night. All but Andrew that is but he doesn't get a bottle until morning unless he's really out of control. We're on a 7, 11, 3 & 7 feeding schedule at the moment. Our day starts between 6 and 7 with their first feeding, followed by floor time and nap in swings. Sometimes all three sleep until the next feed but if not we go back to floor time and repeat at 11. The schedule stays somewhat the same but at some point of the day each one of them skips a nap and wants to be held more.

Update complete for now. :-P
